What makes churches different? Why are they different? Isn’t it enough “we believe in Jesus, we try to live a good life, and are nice to others… at least to their face”?
In a town like Silsbee what makes us different? Is what we do every time we open our doors a way of allowing those that come inside to see Jesus in us all? Do we love or neighbor (community)? Do we feed the hungry? Do we care for the orphan and the widow?
I think what makes us different is not something we do but it is something we are. We are a family. We are different people called by our creator to worship and pray. We are “Making disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly” we are a Global Methodist Church serving where God placed us.
We were created with purpose. We were born to make a difference. Designed to partner with God to change the world one person at a time. If this is your calling and you are up for doing kingdom building work then this is why you should come join us on the greatest adventure in life as we live into our mission and calling.
Till the Nets are Full,
Pastor Brian
